Silvia Bottini is an Italian actress, born in Varese, Italy. She won her first Best Actress award at 18 and began working with Max Cavallari of the popular Italian comedy duo I Fichi D’India while still in high school. Silvia earned a scholarship to attend the prestigious “Alessandra Galante Garrone” acting school in Bologna, graduating in 2007. She was selected by UBU Award-winning director Massimiliano Civica to be part of the “FACCIAMO INSIEME TEATRO” project at Teatro della Tosse in Genoa.
For over 15 years, Silvia has worked at the highest level in theater, consistently playing leading roles in many major productions. She has collaborated with renowned directors such as Valerio Binasco, Claudio Morganti, Marco Manchisi, and Emanuele Conte. Her performances in plays like Il Fantoccio (which won the National ETI Award in 2009) and Sonno (which won the National Critic Award in 2010) have earned critical acclaim. Among her most notable roles are Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Viola in Twelfth Night, and Alice in Alice Through the Looking Glass, showcasing her talent in some of the most iconic plays in theater.
In addition to her theater work, Silvia had a successful career as a print model, becoming one of Italy’s most recognized faces. With over 25,000 images downloaded worldwide, one of her photos became the viral “First World Problems” meme.
In 2015, Silvia moved to Los Angeles, where she trained with some of the top industry professionals, including Ivana Chubbuck, Scott Sedita, Greg Braun, Judy Kain, Jamie Castro, and Marshall Givens (Second City). She honed her skills in on-camera acting, improv, and scene study for film, making her a versatile actress both on stage and in front of the camera.
Silvia is also an established voiceover artist, voicing numerous characters for Italian TV networks like RAI and Mediaset, as well as international clients such as Google, Chinese TV CGTN, and Swiss TV RSI. Her film and TV credits include the Netflix documentary Body Parts, starring Jane Fonda, and dubbing four characters for the Netflix series Cocaine Coast. After Cocaine Coast, she played the lead in the short film 2200 Volts, which was part of the official selection at the 2018 Singapore International Film Festival.
Silvia is the founder of Rebelòt Theatre, a company she created to produce custom shows for both children and adults. Over the years, she has produced over 14 shows, for private audiences as well as for public institutions such as the Italian Institute of Culture in Los Angeles, Fondazione Italia, and the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles (IAMLA).
